Design #1

I started on two designs in Photoshop. The first one is two boards, one with general information about the area and what the University does, and the other has the map and the information on the benefits of walking. I'm not sure about the colours of the boards yet. I thought having them in different colours would be more fun and interesting, but I'm not sure about the colours I've got currently.

The titles are too weak right now; they're not legible from far away. Maybe they should be bigger or all of the text should be black instead of white.

I like how the map takes up most of the right-side board, but it leaves the left one looking a bit dull. I'll have to add something to it. It also has a lot of empty space around the edges.

My second board design is one tall, solid board. The birds at the top could be either cutouts or engravings. The information would be on the benefits of walking and probably about the biodiversity area.
I think the map is too low on the board but I couldn't decide on a hierarchy with the information and the map. The university logo and the QR code would be at the bottom, and possibly other logos we need to have on there. I purposefully left the bottom empty as it would be too low down for any text. I might add some more animals there to fill the space.

Design #3

I continued creating two more photoshop designs during Easter break. I made two rectangle shaped boards. The first one has a dark blue metal structure holding it up, and the board itself is in the middle. The left side of it has all the important information on the Benefits of Walking, and the right side has information about the biodiversity site it's located at.

The fourth design is also rectangle-shaped but it features a "header" above the board that has the title on it. The text on the 'header' would be sticking out on small metal rods to make them stand out. They could also have led lights behind them to illuminate the text in the dark. The information on the Benefits of Walking is really long so it takes up most of the left side of the board. The map is the main piece of the board.
The flowers are a last-minute addition almost; I couldn't figure out what to fill the rest of the board with so I decided to use the assets we were provided. They are quite big compared to the map, and you could probably fit more of them if you made them smaller.
